Near the hotel is the highest point of the district Havlickuv Brod – wooded hill Melechov. In the Hussite period it was called the biblical name Oreb. With its 715 m, the massif of Melechov dominates the entire central Posázaví area and is a very popular place for tourists and cyclists. But prepare for a proper climb. On a few kilometers you can expect more than 300 m elevation. But the reward will be sweet. As a nature park, Melechov with an area of 32 square kilometers is an oasis of intact landscape with many protected species of plants and animals.
