The mighty castle was founded by the Lords of Lichtenburg at the beginning of the 14th century, offers visitors not only the settlements and towns in the area, but also the distant ridges of the Iron Mountains, Žďárské vrchy Giant Mountains. The gem of the castle is the chapel of st. Lawrence, which is exceptional in size and originally independent location in the castle courtyard, as it used to be in royal castles.
